The Point System
Depending on the severity of your violation, a number of points were applied to your official Indiana Driver Record.....two (2), four (4), six (6) or eight (8) points. These points will stay active on your official Indiana Driver Record for two (2) years from the conviction date of the citation.

Suspended License
If you are facing your Indiana driver license suspension because you have too many points on your official Indiana Driver Record, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) has ordered you to take this Indiana online driver safety course. They also gave you a deadline for the completion of this Indiana online driver safety course - usually 90 days from the date of the BMV notification.
Three months may seem like a lot of time, but it will go by quickly. We strongly urge all drivers facing such a deadline to start our Indiana online driver safety course as soon as possible. Do not wait until your due date is only a few days away.
If you do not complete our Indiana online driver safety course before your deadline, your license WILL BE SUSPENDED the day after your deadline! You will then be required to appear in person at a BMV office, show proof of Indiana driver safety course completion, and then pay a license reinstatement fee.
It may then take seven days before your Indiana driver license is reinstated, and if you should happen to be caught driving while your license is still suspended, your vehicle could be impounded and you will receive another eight (8) points on your official Indiana Driver Record!

Last Minute Due Date
For your convenience, Indiana Online Driver Improvement school submits the notification of completion for ALL students electronically each calendar day, 365 days a year to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) at 2:45pm EST time.
If you complete our Indiana online driver safety course by 2:45pm EST time, BMV will receive the notification of your graduation the same day.
If you complete our Indiana online driver safety course after 2:45pm EST time, BMV will receive the notification of your graduation the next day.
