The Point System
Depending on the severity of your violation, a number of points were applied to your official Indiana Driver Record.....two (2), four (4), six (6) or eight (8) points. These points will stay active on your official Indiana Driver Record for two (2) years from the conviction date of the citation.
Here is a list of the most common violations and their point values:
| 1 - 15 mph over the limit: | 2 points |
| 16 - 25 mph over the limit: | 4 points |
| 26 - plus over limit: | 6 points |

Attending our Indiana Online Driver Improvement school course will result in a four (4) point credit on your official Indiana Driver Record, meaning four (4) points will be removed from your driving record! This is extremely important, because if you have 18 or more active points on your driving record during a two (2) year period, you are at risk of being placed on probation or having your driving privilege suspended.
We urge you to do everything possible to keep points off your driving record, which means obeying all traffic laws, driving defensively and, if it is required, completing our Indiana online driver safety course. Receive a four (4) point credit and protect your driving privilege. Click HERE to register now.
