Q. Why take our course?

A. Drivers who participate in IndianaDriver.com courses will benefit in several ways. Our online course is approved by all Indiana courts and the Indiana BMV, so you can be certain your course completion will be honored. Any traffic citations you receive will have points attached to them. The conviction appears on your record as well as the points, which can lead to a license suspension. Upon successful completion of our course, up to four (4) points will be credited to your driving record. Indiana drivers may take the Indiana Online Driver Improvement course once every three (3) years for point credit, but may attend more frequently if ordered to do so by a court. The three (3) year time restriction begins on the date of the last completed course. You may also complete our course for an insurance reduction. Check with your insurance company to see if you are eligible for a rate reduction. Your employer may also want you to complete our program to reinforce safe driving habits and enhance your knowledge of traffic laws. Additionally, you may take our course voluntarily at any time should you desire a refresher course on traffic safety. Attention Parents: many of our customers have their teenagers take the course as a way of helping to ensure their safety behind the wheel.

Q. What course should I enroll in...mature driver, truck driver or basic?

 A. Each of our driver improvement programs is designed to meet the specific needs of its target audience. If you are a mature driver (55 years of age or older), we recommend the mature driving course. Commercial drivers will benefit from the truck driver course. All other drivers should enroll in the basic course. While completion of any of the three available courses will result in up to a four (4) point credit on your driving record, we recommended that you choose the course that best suits your needs.

Q. How quickly can I finish this course?

 A. The course is designed to take you four (4) hours to complete. It is a timed course, so you are required to spend a minimum amount of reading time on each section before you may proceed to the next section. A timer appears in the upper right corner of each section. You may proceed to the next section when the timer reaches 0:00.

Q. Does the course cost anything?

 A. Our Indiana internet driver safety program is affordable for every driver. Our everyday low price for the entire online course is just $54.95, and includes all of the following:

* All elements of your internet driver safety program, including chapter reading, open-book multiple-choice quizzes and final exam, and your graduation certificate. There are no additional fees.

* Immediate access to our online course and FREE Live Customer Support - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

* The electronic transmission of your completion certificate to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) within 24 hours of completing our online course.

Regular classroom driver safety courses charge similar fees but don't offer the convenience of an internet driver safety program that fits any schedule, or the peace of mind that 24/7 Live customer support provides.

Please keep in mind that Indiana driver improvement schools are a privately-operated industry and the BMV regulates course tuition. You will be required to pay a course fee whether you sit in a classroom or select our Indiana Online Driver Improvement school course.

The tuition you pay guarantees that you will receive the finest educational materials, the best customer service and the most dependable and hassle-free online driver safety program in Indiana.

Don't risk enrolling with just any school to save a few dollars. Don't lose sleep over something as basic as a driver safety school course. Enroll with us today!

For credit card payment, after you register for the course you will be linked to a completely secure credit card page where you can pay quickly and effortlessly. Our mailing address is: Indiana Online Driver Improvement; 10401 N Meridian St., Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN 46290. If you choose the mailing option, we must receive your payment before your completion certificate can be mailed.

At Indiana Online Driver Improvement, we understand that having your license suspended is a serious and expensive event. Q. I use AOL and I keep getting knocked off line. What should I do?

A. If you are using AOL as your Internet service provider, you will have activity requirements while online. During some of the longer course sections that require more reading time, there is a chance AOL will knock you offline unless you remain interactive with AOL. Therefore, do not leave the screen alone for any great length of time - remain interactive with the screen. Our programmers suggest that if you need AOL to log onto the internet, you might want to minimize AOL and log on to the course with a different browser (ie. Netscape, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, etc.) If you have questions on how to access your course through these browsers, please contact our office toll-free at 866-657-4515.

Q. Is there any special computer or download requirements to participate in the course?

A. You do need to have Flash Plug-in (Version 10 or above). You will also need any modern internet browser, including: Internet Explorer 6+, Mozilla Firefox v.1+, Netscape 7+, Opera 9+, or Safari 1+. You can download the Flash Plug-in from www.adobe.com and the various browsers can be found on their respective webpages (www.microsoft.com, www.firefox.com, www.opera.com).

Q. How many questions do the quizzes have?

A. There are 5 questions per quiz. The questions are all multiple choice.

Q. How many questions does the final have?

A. There are 28 questions on the final exam. The questions are all multiple choice and you can take the final as many as three times to pass.

Q. Must I complete the course in one sitting?

A. Not at all. This course was designed to give you complete flexibility. Most people complete the course over a period of days or, if they have enough time, even weeks. The course is broken up into fourteen chapters. Each chapter has a few short sections. You can complete one section, for example, log off, and then log back on at a later time. The computer will record the section you have completed and give you reading credit. You can log on and off as many times as you wish until you complete the program. You can also do the entire course in one sitting.....it’s all up to you.

Q. What happens if I suddenly lose my Internet connection?

A. Some Internet users are knocked off line from time to time. This may result from a lost Internet connection, another call interrupting your connection if you are on a single line with call waiting, or simply because your computer crashes. Remember, as you complete each section of the course, your progress is recorded. Completion of any given section cannot be lost if your quiz answers are submitted to the system and graded on screen. Being knocked off line at that point will only bring you back to the start of the next section; it will not delete the previous section. Our website is unable to control your Internet connection and inactivity on your part will not result in our system knocking you off line. Any activity requirements will be on the part of your Internet service provider.

Q. Will my access codes to the course expire after a certain time?

A. No. You will always have access to the course as long as you have not completed the program or have cancelled. Our course does keep track of your progress, and if something goes wrong, simply log off, log back in and continue where you left off.

Q. How do I receive course credit?

A. Credit is awarded by virtue of your interaction with the course and knowledge of the material. You are tested on your knowledge of the subject matter through a series of short quizzes and a final exam that must be scored with a passing grade of 80% or higher. After you have successfully completed testing, you will graduate. The certificate of completion will be sent to the BMV electronically on your behalf. It takes the BMV approximately 7 - 10 business days to update your record. If you take the course by court order, you must submit the certificate of completion to the court yourself - either in person or by mail.

Q. How long does it take to get the certificate?

A. Completion notification for ALL students is sent electronically each day from our corporate offices to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) at 2:45pm EST. All graduates are batched prior to 1:00pm for that day and the BMV is then notified. Graduates after 1:00pm will be sent to the BMV the next business day. The BMV can take up to seven to ten (7 - 10) business days to process the notification and award the student the credit. If the certificate is court-ordered, you will receive the certificate of completion and you are responsible for sending it directly to the court. If you need your certificate right away, our company offers expedited mailing options that will allow you to receive your certificate more quickly.

Q. What if my deadline for completion of the driver improvement course has passed?

A. The BMV or courts normally allow 90 days for course completion. This is more than ample time. No extensions will be granted. In order to get an extension you will need to contact the BMV or court that issued you the paperwork.
